Sim racing gear, tested until something breaks.
Direct-drive wheels, load-cell pedals, full rigs — torture-tested across iRacing, ACC and Le Mans Ultimate, then ranked by the only metric that matters: what it costs per tenth of lap time.
Illustrative sample — reviews coming. This is the format every review will take once our test program is underway: scores earned over a full duty cycle, never a weekend with a press loaner. Figures below are illustrative placeholders, not finished results.

Moza R12 v2 — how a budget DD base will be put through our torture test
Twelve newtons of torque. We’ll measure slew rate, thermal fade and FFB fidelity against bases costing twice as much — then keep lapping until the encoder gives us a reason to stop. Sample figures shown for format only.
Load-cell showdown: how we’ll test five pedal sets on one brake-consistency rig
We’ll log thousands of braking events per set on an instrumented test bench and report the spread between best and worst — because price rarely predicts the winner. Sample figures shown for format only.
iRacing week 12 setups — every car, every track, validated
Our setup packs will ship with telemetry proof: predicted vs achieved lap delta on every entry, updated within 48 hours of each build drop. If we can’t reproduce the time, it doesn’t ship.
Illustrative sample. We don’t describe feel — we plot it. The charts below show the format our telemetry will take: drawn from our own logged data, captured at 1,000 Hz on hardware we paid for. Traces shown are illustrative, not finished results.

Illustrative. The purple trace shows how we’ll plot a brake-consistency winner against the field — earlier to peak pressure, tighter repeatability across thousands of stops. Real per-product figures arrive once testing is complete.

Illustrative. This is how we’ll chart sustained torque over a 60-minute stint — a small drop is imperceptible; a large one you feel in slow corners. Per-product fade figures publish with each finished review.

Illustrative sample standings. Lap delta will be the median improvement across a tester panel of mixed pace vs a $250 gear-driven baseline, same car/track/setup. Purple = best overall. Green = best in price class. Real standings populate as products are tested.

Fanatec vs Moza in 2026: the comparison that will carry repair-rate data
Reviews coming. We’ll survey sim racers on failures, warranty turnaround and resale value — then drive both ecosystems back-to-back for three months. The cells below show the format; figures are illustrative placeholders until the survey and test conclude.
Three complete builds at three budgets, every part chosen on spec and street price. Pick a budget — we’ve done the spreadsheet warfare. Lap-gain figures are illustrative until each part is bench- and track-tested.

How We Test
Four stages. No shortcuts. The same protocol for a $59 pedal set and a $999 flagship.
Buy at retail
Anonymous orders, our own money, receipts published with every review. Brands find out we tested their gear when the score goes live.
Bench it
Torque rig, 1,000 Hz latency capture, slew-rate measurement at the rim. We test what reaches your hands, not what the motor claims.
Track it
Thousands of laps per wheel base across iRacing, ACC and Le Mans Ultimate. Hundreds of logged braking events per pedal set. Heat soak, cold starts, rage quits.
Outlive it
Full teardown at end of test, plus a reader survey on failures, warranty turnaround and resale — opening soon and refreshed every quarter.
The retail-purchase pledge.
No loaner units. No early access. No sponsored scores. If a brand sends us hardware unsolicited, we raffle it to readers and buy our own.

Partnerships, review requests, or a tip from the paddock. We buy every unit at retail — but we still want to hear from you. One human reads every message.
Web Motorsport is reader-supported. When you buy through our links we may earn a commission — up to 15% from Fanatec and 10% from Moza. It never affects scores, it never decides rankings, and we buy every product we test at retail. The data doesn’t know who pays us.
